2016 Biomatik Distinguished Faculty Award – China

by the Chinese-American Chemistry and Chemical Biology Professors Association (CAPA)

The Chinese-American Chemistry and Chemical Biology Professors Association (CAPA, http://capa-chem.webs.com) is soliciting nominations from our colleagues in China for the 2016 Biomatik Distinguished Faculty Award. CAPA is a non-profit and apolitical organization. It was founded in 2002 and officially registered in the State of Georgia, USA in January, 2008. The 2016 awardee will receive a plaque and a cash award of US$400. The award ceremony will be held at the 12th Annual Sino-US Chemistry Professors Conference in Sun Yat-sen University (Guangzhou) in June 2016. This award is sponsored by Biomatik (http://www.biomatik.com/), your one stop shop for bio-reagents as well as custom gene, peptide, protein, and antibody services in the USA and Canada.

The nominee must be a full-time faculty member at the Associate or Full Professor level in Chemistry/Chemical Biology in a University in China or in Chinese Academy of Sciences, and be within 10 years of receiving his or her Ph.D. degree at the time of nomination. Past winners are not eligible.

Each nomination must be supported by two Full Professors in the US or China. The nomination package should include

  • Completed nomination form (see attached)

  • Nominee’s updated CV (including education, employment, publications, funding, awards, seminars, etc)

  • Two supporting references

The nomination package should be sent by email as a single PDF file to Prof. Shaowei Chen at shaowei@ucsc.edu by Monday, March 31, 2016.
