WELCOME TO OMCOS-11

It is our great honor and pleasure to invite you to participate in the 11th IUPAC International Symposium on OrganoMetallic Chemistry Directed Towards Organic Synthesis (OMCOS-11) to be held in Taipei from 22 July to 26 July, 2001 under the auspice of the Chemical Society Located in Taipei.

This Conference marks the first OMCOS meeting in this new millennium and will inherit the tradition of previous meetings at Fort Collins, Dijon, Kyoto, Vancouver, Florence, Utrecht, Kobe, Santa Barbara, G?ttingen, and Versailles. With the main objective to generate channels for the interflow of innovative ideas among practicing chemists worldwide, OMCOS-11 will provide an international forum for presentation and discussion of new findings and will highlight the vitality and diversity of synthetic organic chemistry in which metals play a pivotal role. The program of the symposium features plenary lectures, invited lectures, short communications and poster sessions. We can assure you that many outstanding researchers like you will come to Taipei to present papers on their most recent results. Bona fide student participants will be accorded a substantial reduction in the registration fees.

The conference will be held at the Grand Hotel which features the magnificent Chinese palace-like architecture.

The OMCOS-11 promises to be a particularly exciting and scientifically stimulating event. We look forward to seeing you in Taipei.
