09.30 ACGC Plenary Lecture ''Chemistry and Development" by Professor Dr. HRH Princess Chulabhorn.

The following speakers will give short introductory comments on Network training programmes:

Dr. S. B. Malla, South and Central Asian Network for Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Kathamandu, Nepal.

Dr. J. Webb (Australia) and Dr. M. Mohinder Singh(Malaysia), Asian Network for Analytical and Inorganic Chemistry.

Other training programmes will include the local production of laboratory equipment by Professor K. V. Sane, University of Delhi, India, and the training of entrepreneurs by Dr. R. Kulkarni, Bombay, India.
