中国化学会热力学与热分析专业委员会委员，湖北省化学化工学会理事。享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家，湖北省新世纪高层次人才，黄石市有突出贡献专家。Nanotoxicology; Biomacromolecules; J. Med. Chem.; J. Phys. Chem. B; Langmuir; 《科学通报》《化学学报》《中国科学 化学》等30余种SCI收录期刊通讯审稿人。
先后主持国家自然科学基金3项、湖北省自然科学基金1项、湖北省新世纪高层次人才工程优秀青年骨干人才计划1项、湖北省教育厅科技项目2项等；发表SCI论文90余篇，共被SCI论文引用4400余次（WOS数据），单篇被SCI论文引用超过200次的论文7篇，第一作者论文单篇最高被SCI他引500余次；个人论文H指数29；作为主要完成人获湖北省自然科学奖二等奖2项、三等奖2项。
