Message from the Chair

On behalf of the Chinese Chemical Society, it is my great pleasure to extend our warm greetings to all participants of the 2026 Shanghai International Symposium on Analytical Chemistry, co-sponsored by the Chinese Chemical Society and Messe Muenchen Shanghai Co., Ltd., which will be held on November 16–18, 2026 in Shanghai, China.

Since the first conference in 2002, the Shanghai International Symposium on Analytical Chemistry has been held every two years, and has gone through 24 years of development, witnessing the brilliant achievements made by China and other countries in the research field of analytical chemistry, during which due to the Covid-19, this biennial series international conference could not be held as scheduled in 2020 and 2022. In the past 24 years, we have held ten academic conferences, where scholars, young students and researchers from all over the world have gathered together to carry out academic exchanges and knowledge integration, so as to generate more innovative research ideas and promote the common development of analytical chemistry.

With the theme of Frontiers in Analytical Chemistry, the conference has nine topics, including Micro-Total-Analysis, Food Analysis, Imaging or 3D-Printing in Analytical Chemistry or AI in Analytical Chemistry, Mass Spectrometry, Environmental Analysis, Bioanalysis I, Sample Preparation, Bioanalysis II and New Developments in Analytical Chemistry. The conference will provide opportunities for leading experts, researchers, and young scientists to present their latest findings, exchange perspectives, and engage in meaningful discussions on emerging developments and future directions in analytical chemistry.
